About the Show
Joy on Paper launched on St. Patrick's Day 2015 — a syndicated radio program for writers and those who dream of writing… and for everyone who wants to know the story behind the book. Since then, PatZi (with a Z!) has asked authors the questions readers actually wonder about.
Across more than 2,000 interviews on the air, the show has welcomed 12 Mystery Writers of America Grand Masters, over 300 NYT bestselling authors, celebrities, sports & military heroes, hundreds of debut and indie authors — and even the US Poet Laureate.
Every book has a story behind the book.
PatZi doesn't hold the microphone alone: Bria Burton hosts the show's SCI-FI HOUR, and Andrew Grant (Andrew Child) and Tasha Alexander are beloved guest hosts.
The story keeps going. Joy on Paper LIVE! launched on YouTube in 2023, and the companion digital magazine, Readers mZINE, arrived in May 2026. This site is now the show's archive — the interviews, the awards, and the hours on the air, kept here so you can listen any time.
